Barb, I just read your "More About Me" page. You have no idea how much it means to me to hear you say that because I
showed interest in your writing, you thought you could do this. It choked me up. Thank you.
Also, we as teachers sometimes
forget how some students have to struggle financially. I've always had the utmost respect for you, Barb, and now I know why.
For you to put aside your own needs and wants when you saw your dad counting pennies to buy milk .... well, I just don't think
many kids today would do that. Wow! You are indeed a special person, Barb! (Like I didn't know that already though.) ....
Continued success and stop by the school again. I am so very, very proud of you.
PS I'm still the
mean English teacher.

Thank you for writing this book. I can relate so well with Jenna Rose. I've gone through life wondering if I could ever
have the relationship with Christ that everyone around me seemed to have. Music brought me around, too, and now I can't imagine
life without Him. (You're welcome to put this on your site)

Subject: great books
I picked up your book at the library yesterday, and I couldn't put it down! I read it all in a day. Tomorrow, my mom
is taking me to buy the next one (and probably PG 2!)

"Barb" (may I call you that) =)
I just wanted to let you know that I received your book as an Easter gift,
read it in about 2 nights (non-stop, OF COURSE), and loved it.
Now I'm actually doing a school project on YOU! (We're
putting a female author on the cover of PEOPLE magazine... thought you'd appreciate knowing that you're not only
on the front cover of PEOPLE, but my WHOLE Accelerated English class will see it! haha)
I should be writing
my comments on The Perfect Girl, but I MUST let you know that you've really inspired me. I believe God has called
me to write begin a Christian girls magazine that's the equivalent to any other teen magazine out there, only with
real girls, real issues, and the real God.
Thanks for writing such a GREAT book!!

Dear Mrs. Huff,
Hello. My name is Scott. I am in seventh grade from an Atlanta suburb, and I have to do an author report for
English. I would like to ask you a few questions if you have the time. I would be appreciative. All of my friends are
doing really famous writers (if another person tells me they are doing a report on J.K. Rowlings, I'm going to hurl),
but I knew I wanted to do my report on a Christian author. My mom and I talked about who I should do my interview on,
and she suggested you. My sister has your books The Perfect Girl and The Backup Singer and my mom liked them as much as she
did. I read them and that made me want to write about you even more! This could be a good chance to witness to my classmates
and promote the Christian genre.
I like fantasy books for the most part, but I'm a bookworm so I read just about anything.
Thank you, again!
P.S. I'm hoping to be completing my own novel by April 28. I am 28 pages in and I'm writing 5 pages every night. My goal
has been to get my first book out before I'm a sophomore.
P.P.S. If, well, WHEN I get my book published, will I get
free copies, or will I have to buy them on my own? Does that kind of thing vary from writer to writer?
